Plan Of Traction!

With another year almost over it’s time for a review. How did you go – did you reach all that you planned for? The secret to a good plan We all know that planning is important. It’s essential to move us from where we are now, Point A, to where we want to be, Point B. The problem is we make plans – decide what we want but often never get to our desired destination. So what’s the secret? The secret is traction – traction is the key to getting to Point B. We need A Plan Of Traction not a plan of action. Traction is the act of pulling something along – in this case pulling what you want in point A to what you get in Point B. Without traction we simply have wants, wishes, hopes, dreams and plans. With traction we get the friction needed to move us forward. Plan of action + traction = Plan Of Traction for Greater Achievement and Fulfilment How do we find the traction? Mastering these 5 Success Steps is the difference between a plan of action and A Plan Of Traction where significant life improvements occur. If you or your team would like to get traction…

Undress your ambition!

Once you’ve made a decision about what you want there’s a crucial success step that’s often missed. It’s the act of getting ‘undressed’ and revealing your aspirations. Going ‘naked’ with your ambitions is a way to fast track your success. As the saying goes, “You can’t sell a secret” – so shout your ambitions to the world! Why do our deep desires often remain a secret? Generally there are three common reasons we don’t share our ambitions. Fear of failure – what if I don’t reach my goal? Fear of rejection – what will others think of me/my goal? Fear of success – am I ready? Am I good enough for this? The benefits of going naked! * It’s liberating to speak your truth out loud! * A declaration holds you accountable. * Naysayers drop away saving you precious time and energy. * Ambitions become reality reducing your stress and increasing fulfilment. WARNING! Going naked can be tough… When you decide and declare what you want don’t expect everyone to support you. You may find that some won’t. Actually you may only have one or two supporters of your ambition in the beginning. But don’t let this sway you and don’t let…

Self-first Is Not Selfish!

In life we give so much of ourselves – physically, psychologically, emotionally and financially – to help and support our family and friends. Sometimes is it easy to overlook the one person that needs your help and support the most – and that’s you. There’s no doubt that raising young children is an exhausting time. I remember when my kids were little, solitude was leaning against the shower wall, eyes closed, water running or closing the toilet door for a tranquil moment. For most it’s not easy to achieve some “self” time, mainly because of our nature: our nature is to give to others first. We fear being labeled as selfish if we do focus on ourselves. The act of putting your self first is not selfish when you understand the benefits, not only to yourself, but those important to you. Self-care, self-love, self-focus, self-first is a gift to you AND a gift to others. By presenting a less stressed and more fulfilled you – like the pebble in the pond, the ripples are felt all around. I had the pleasure of presenting this idea to a group at The Fantastic Female Friends in Real Estate on the Gold Coast last week….

Lighten Up On Your Weaknesses!

Amplifying your strengths is one of the fastest ways to excel in life. But sometimes we can get caught up obsessing about our weaknesses while our strengths sit unnoticed. In reality many weaknesses can remain what they are and may even offer a little light relief. Weaknesses that can’t be changed My weakness is my poor sense of direction. My inner GPS is out! When staying at a hotel it takes days before I can leave my room and turn in the right direction for the lifts. I’ve been known to head for the North Coast, stop off on the higway for petrol to discover I’ve headed towards the South Coast. I’ve even had a few buyers follow me in circles when they were meant to be following me to a house, until I finally had to wave them past so I could follow them there instead. No surprises that one of my most trusted advisors is the satellite navigation woman. Although I know scientific evidence explains this common “fault” in women (and some men!) I once worked hard to try to hide this fact. Then I accepted what can’t be changed. Now I just laugh at myself and share…
