Having it all

Is it really possible to have it all? There are many challenges if having it all is the choice you make. It is interesting to consider exactly what each individual decides having it all is. Having it all may sound like a ridiculously high aim. At times in our lives this possibility could appear close, but at other times it may seem unreachable. Often it’s not something we even think of wishing for. In 2012 I devoted six months and 60,000 words to the subject of delivering on the promises you make to yourself in How To Have It All. Having it all is about finding achievement and fulfilment in life. When it comes to the idea of having it all these questions may arise: * What would having it all be to me? * Is having it all really possible? * Do I give myself permission to have it all? And finally – for those who want to have it all, are courageous enough, give themselves permission and for those willing to put in the work the final question is: * How can I have it all? Having it all is more about self-promise and less about external factors…

Three life lessons

Lesson 1: Look after yourself Being a True Believer takes self-respect. Rather than putting yourself second or third or even last because you “don’t have time”, True Believers know that they have to invest in themselves. With all life’s demands we are often at the bottom of the list, which causes increasing stress, not only on ourselves, but also on all those close to us. We have to get back to the top of our list or for some — back on the list. Life Lesson 2: Mix with the right people Being with the right people can be such a cherished and unforgettable part of your life journey. These people inspire you to great achievements, give you insight and fill your life with excitement and energy. If you choose to walk the path of a True Believer you will start to notice that other True Believers will be attracted to you, and the non-believers will be less and less evident. When you start to walk forward with others who are creating their own success pictures you form strong life-long bonds — an unwavering commitment with those who believe in us and support us. This is our True Believer tribe!…

Relationships that matter

There’s no denying that there are many components to creating successful relationships. At the top of the list lies our ability to communicate well, but also important is to communicate regularly. True Believers strive towards meaningful relationships that matter. Successful relationships, those that are sustainable, are built on: • quality • frequency • consistency. Without these you may be forgotten — you may become a stranger. Relationships take work. Many start well and build to a point where they flourish. Others fold, with the parties becoming strangers. I know that my team’s success in real estate was due to the frequent and consistent quality touch points with clients. Every seller received several touch points every week. When it came to listing, selling, referrals and repeat business, our results were in direct proportion to how often we communicated with our clients. Have genuine care, be frequent and consistent and don’t just show it once in a while. Add value to others and see the abundance that will surround you in all areas of life! I can hear you thinking, “If only I had more time to put into my relationships.” Well that’s an easy fix. It’s not about having huge numbers…

Culture matters

Culture most certainly does matter when it comes to both our work and our outside work life. Great tribes have great culture. A tribe of True Believers can turn the culture around in our: • homes • schools • colleges and universities • neighbourhoods • companies • communities. What makes a successful tribe? Zappos, an online business that sells shoes and other merchandise, is well known for its fast rise to success in under 10 years. The results are extraordinary: • a billion dollars in annual gross merchandise sales • excellent customer service with repeat business — primarily through word of mouth. But its major cause of success was its ability to cultivate a brilliant culture — making Fortune magazine’s ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ list. There are many successful tribes in history. Tribes with a good culture make ripples on the planet achieving more than an individual alone could. There is much leverage when we create a tribe of the right people. Being part of the right tribe gives the individual and the group a competitive advantage, often creating greater market share and more profit. Finding the right tribe is also where many find true fulfillment. Every Minute…

From non-believer to True Believer

Those who were once non-believers can go forward to leave wonderful ripples, when they identify the non-believer in themselves and work on that first. I have much passion, compassion and expertise in helping others find their inner strength — to believe in themselves to walk forward with courage, with self-love and unconditional love for others. To help others feel empowered, to have a voice and to commit to making their very best contribution is what lights me up! I help others to become True Believers, to move up from the times they were non-believers in their own lives and to live with the non-believer in others. The irony of my expertise is that I spent many decades looking outside myself for peace — for others to believe in me — scared to speak out and always looking for recognition and approval. Many times I became a non-believer and was paralysed by the non-believer in myself and in others. I searched and searched — even though for most part I had achieved extraordinary results and success — I couldn’t find true peace. I couldn’t find fulfillment – constantly searching and moving up and down the ladder from non-believer to True Believer….
