Choose your destination

For many, the things we wish for remain wishes forever. I know from personal experience that really wanting something and making it real dramatically transforms both your personal and professional life. The one habit of setting value-based directions can be transformational and mean the difference between mediocrity and great fulfilment. There are four steps to take: Decide what your value-based directions are Check in with why you want them Plan how you are going to achieve them Stay focused and persist until you get to your desired destination. Choose your destination and keep checking that you are on course — this way you will keep heading in the right direction. Your destination is based on your values and this gives you purpose. The superpowers of belief, conviction and commitment are what help you to persist and get you to the finish line! Create a life you truly value by reflecting on the past and being a powerful creator of a 2020 you’ve chosen. Let me help you, click here to find out how. Every Minute Counts and You Can Have It All! ®

Top of your list`

Many work long hours and get things done to try to meet all their commitments or to get ahead. Increased choice and demands brings increased stress and more conflict between work and family life. This daily routine is overwhelming for many and becomes a ritual for survival. The World Health Organization reports on the debilitating effects of depression and anxiety. For a worker the challenge is to find ways to work smarter and not necessarily harder. Do these sound familiar? I’m working longer and longer hours with mediocre results. I run all day long then collapse exhausted into bed at night. I’ve got no time or energy to exercise. There’s too little time and energy for the kids and for my partner. There’s not enough time to see my friends. All the spare time is taken up doing chores. On the True Believer growth ladder, we can see the worker gets things done but often feels time poor and struggles to stay well, maintain relationships and pay the bills. With all of life’s demands they often put themselves at the bottom of the list causing increasing stress, not only for themselves, but also for those who are close. Although workers get things done, they struggle when they…

Having it all

Is it really possible to have it all? There are many challenges if having it all is the choice you make. It is interesting to consider exactly what each individual decides having it all is. Having it all may sound like a ridiculously high aim. At times in our lives this possibility could appear close, but at other times it may seem unreachable. Often it’s not something we even think of wishing for. In 2012 I devoted six months and 60,000 words to the subject of delivering on the promises you make to yourself in How To Have It All. Having it all is about finding achievement and fulfilment in life. When it comes to the idea of having it all these questions may arise: * What would having it all be to me? * Is having it all really possible? * Do I give myself permission to have it all? And finally – for those who want to have it all, are courageous enough, give themselves permission and for those willing to put in the work the final question is: * How can I have it all? Having it all is more about self-promise and less about external factors — while of course external factors are the greatest challenge preventing most from having all that they choose….

Three life lessons

Lesson 1: Look after yourself  Being a True Believer takes self-respect. Rather than putting yourself second or third or even last because you “don’t have time”, True Believers know that they have to invest in themselves. With all life’s demands we are often at the bottom of the list, which causes increasing stress, not only on ourselves, but also on all those close to us. We have to get back to the top of our list or for some — back on the list. Life Lesson 2: Mix with the right people Being with the right people can be such a cherished and unforgettable part of your life journey. These people inspire you to great achievements, give you insight and fill your life with excitement and energy. If you choose to walk the path of a True Believer you will start to notice that other True Believers will be attracted to you, and the non-believers will be less and less evident. When you start to walk forward with others who are creating their own success pictures you form strong life-long bonds — an unwavering commitment with those who believe in us and support us. This is our True Believer tribe!…

Relationships that matter

There’s no denying that there are many components to creating successful relationships. At the top of the list lies our ability to communicate well, but also important is to communicate regularly. True Believers strive towards meaningful relationships that matter. Successful relationships, those that are sustainable, are built on: quality frequency consistency. Without these you may be forgotten — you may become a stranger. Relationships take work. Many start well and build to a point where they flourish. Others fold, with the parties becoming strangers. I know that my team’s success in real estate was due to the frequent and consistent quality touch points with clients. Every seller received several touch points every week. When it came to listing, selling, referrals and repeat business, our results were in direct proportion to how often we communicated with our clients. Have genuine care, be frequent and consistent and don’t just show it once in a while. Add value to others and see the abundance that will surround you in all areas of life! I can hear you thinking, “If only I had more time to put into my relationships.” Well that’s an easy fix. It’s not about having huge numbers of relationships. On the contrary, it’s about the quality…
